Program Overview
Five Elements, Five Eras is an engaging education program that introduces students to the history, dance, and cultural impact of Hip-Hop from the 1970s to present day. Through historical exploration, movement practice, music engagement, and creative collaboration, students explore the evolution of Hip-Hop culture. They examine how it developed as a powerful form of artistic expression and cultural identity. Students also learn how Hip-Hop continues to function as a platform for community storytelling.

Professional Pathways is an initiative that brings NYC's top hip-hop and arts industry professionals directly into the classroom.
This program provides students with invaluable networking opportunities and actionable career guidance to build their future in the creative industries. This conversation featured the former Run D.M.C. LL Cool J and Public Enemy publicist Bill Adler, and legendary photographer for Gucci, Dior, and Hip Hop culture Janette Beckman.
